Sure is ! Well finally got a Norton - not from Norton tho - they could'nt supply one for two years .So i bought this one to make my Streetscrambler with ....
Not as shit looking as P .Tereblanches crap idea of a Streetscrambler either .

TWO YEARS SINCE I ORDERED A NEW 961 NORTON , YEAR N HALF SINCE I PAID IN FULL (WHEN THEY SAID IT'S READY AT THE END OF THE MONTH !) STILL NO BIKE . NO REFUND EITHER - YET .

THIS MONTH I SUE THEIR ASSES ORF !

Ok , so it reminds me of some music (funnily enough ) as most things do .

Yes that's Kiss my ass ! and i think that sums up my Norton buying experience in full .

Never mind the Bollocks , where's my bike ????

Ahh well , that's just my own opinion and how i feel right now .

I'm still gonna getta Norton and cut it up and make a Streettracker outta it - and i'm gonna call it "The Swindler" - now you know why .

PS - just after i paid for the bike i visited the "factory " at Donington , the engine building room was shut and nobody could find who had the key (really ?) ..... but i put my camera up to the window to get a pic of hundreds of Norton twin motors being made ..... and this pic is what i saw !

Yep , Five half built motors ...... i got a leg up (and more photos ) that was it not much on the shelves and definatley not enought to build 5 motors up !

So i guess , they have supplier difficulties and cash flow problems (which gives you suppliers problems - they don't like non-payers !) as i had expected , but they are still taking peoples money for something they can't supply .... anyone wanna put a word on that ?

Yea we all know what it is ,

We showed Steve's new 840 at the Ace this weekend and MCN jumped straight on it for a feature ! The bike has been a labour of love here and we could'nt wait to show it off to everyone . Steve (who supplies Yam spares - dirtylanesussex.co.uk ) rode it in fron Sussex and reported nifty performance from his 840cc big bore motor combined with snappy handling from the lightweight bike - his smile said it all !

This Yam has an 840 cc motor , with H/C pistons mild cam , balancing /porting work , performance stainless pipes and dell'orto pumper carbs.

Vintage Yam DT360 tank , Bultaco Astro redmax seat , Redmax Flattrack bars , Tarozzi rearsets , Koso digi dash , R6 forks and four piston calipers , Mag wheels and Tracker tyres and a very funky paintjob complete the picture .

Steve was intimately involved with the build putting a lot of his heart into finding the right parts and desighning the paint , and it shows . Glenn here in the Redmax workshop conspiring to come up with some real neat signature items across the bike (rear lamp , chain gaurd , heat shields etc ). Credit where it's due .

An enjoyable build - we're looking forwards to Steve's next XS .... will it be a cafe racer or a bobber ?? ... keep tuned .

ACE CAFE FLATTRACK DAY- BRISTOL CLASSIC BIKE SHOW

Firstly - The Flattrack day a the Ace Cafe .

Fantastic sunny weather proved just how good a car park meeting in Feb can be in the UK !

And we had a great turn out of stands and display bikes !

Thanks to everyone who came along , inc the ACe cafe crew who are always helpfull and kept us plied with cups of tea all day !

Nice to catch up/meet some of you guys too .

Best ride in was from the Arty/bikey set - you know who you are !

Also went to the Bristol classic bike show last weekend with my dad , which we enjoyed although i didnt buy any bikes and went home with an empty van - Pah .
